You will then choose one act from an international territory, that you feel could ‘make it’ in the UK. Purpose of Assignment Exploring other viable territories to break in to is essential as part of a global strategy for music companies. For many reasons, a company may find greater success in another country, so it is vital that you identify potential markets and develop an awareness of how they operate. Requirements This research report should explore various territories, in order for you to find an act that could become popular in the UK. You should analyse different acts, musical genres and trends across these territories and ensure you justify your act selections using relevant examples and research. Your report must: • Choose one act from an international territory. • Justify why you think this act are a viable option for launching in the UK. • Use case studies of UK based music acts, to support your choice. • Examine how the associated genre is growing in popularity across the world. You must also: Adhere to the Word-count - 1500 words (+/-10%). Include a title page that includes: Student name, lecturer name, module name, assignment name, word count. Make reference to your research (in-text citations). Include a reference list and bibliography. Adhere to Harvard reference standards (please refer to the Quick Referencing Handbook for guidance). Resubmission and repeat year students are not permitted to use the same project as their previous submission. This will result in automatic failure for self-plagiarism. Non-adherence to these requirements will have a negative impact on your grade and may result in a fail.
