Description Students are required to watch and analyze a single scene from a theatrical production, television show or film. Format The review must be at least two full pages in length and written in MLA format. This includes a heading, one-inch margins, double-spaced sentences and proper spelling and grammar. Your analysis must discuss the following: scenery/properties, costumes, lighting, sound and cinematography (if applicable). For each element, explain how the design elements are helping tell the story of the given scene. Please give specific design examples found in your chosen scene. Think about what we have discussed in lectures this quarter and apply that in your writing. Since you only have one scene to analyze, you have the opportunity to really go in depth on all of the elements. This is the time to really show your knowledge of the course subject material. The assignment should begin with a quick mention of the theatrical production, film or television show (and the episode) and what is happening in the scene. DO NOT fill your assignment with plot summary or anything other than the elements mentioned above.
