What structures so you believe are most important in order for a cell to sustain life? Think back to our characteristics of life and what would be necessary to achieve these characteristics. What are those structures primarily made out of - which macromolecule(s)? Are these structures universal for all cells or would they look different if they were an animal cell, plant cell, bacterial cell? Why? Would these structures allow the cell to survive in different climates or would it be susceptible to weather, pressure, disease, etc? If not, what are some modifications that would be necessary to help the cell survive environmental changes?
